Publications
The publishing program of the Society of Dance History Scholars includes a monograph series, Studies in Dance History, as well as annual conference proceedings, a membership directory, a newsletter, and materials mounted on this Web site. The program is governed by the SDHS Editorial Board. Detailed information on the monograph series and on conference proceedings can be found on the following pages:
Membership Directory. The SDHS membership directory is issued annually, usually in the autumn and usually based on memberships current as of 1 September. It is subsequently mailed to all members as a benefit of membership. Changes or updates of information should be directed to the SDHS office.
Conversations Across the Field of Dance Studies (formerly the bi-annual Newsletter) Issued yearly in the autumn, this publication reflects the dynamic and diverse membership of SDHS. We seek to bring you themes and debates current in the field of dance studies and the profession, alongside news from the international community of scholars in dance and related disciplines. We welcome submissions in a range of formats, from debate to poetic reveries, images to reviews. Proposals for articles and other materials should be directed to the editor: vida.midgelow@northampton.ac.uk.
SDHS Web Site. The Web site of the Society of Dance History Scholars was established in 1998. As an electronic publication, it presents current information about the society and its activities and, as a public service, offers finding aids to print and electronic resources available to everyone interested in dance history. In addition to materials mounted in public areas of this site, a group of special materials appears in a password-protected area designed For Members Only. As a benefit of membership, it includes bulletins and notices, member news, an up-to-date membership directory, an international calendar of events, a collection of prize-winning essays by SDHS members, a collection of quotations about dance, and various other features.
