The website of the Society of Dance History Scholars was established in 1998, and redesigned in 2009. As an electronic publication, it presents current information about the society and its activities and, as a public service, offers finding aids to print and electronic resources available to everyone interested in dance history. A bibliography of published works by SDHS members and an extensive annotated catalog of online resources can be found on the following pages: In addition to materials mounted in public areas of this site, a group of special materials appears in a password-protected area designed for members only. As a benefit of membership, it includes bulletins and notices, member news, an up-to-date membership directory, an international calendar of events, a collection of prize-winning essays by SDHS members, a collection of quotations about dance, and various other features.
